FALL 2017 Human Resources Intern
The intern is responsible for the implementation and completion of all functions related to the success within the Human Resource Department at CHI St. Joseph Health. You will provide general support for human resources-related operations in all areas within the Human Resource Department including recruitment, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and various other areas. Some responsibilities include:
Pre-screen applications and resumes to identify the most qualified candidates
Assist in weekly New Team Member Orientation
Provide customer service to current and potential employees
Update applicant tracking system to ensure vacancies are filled in a timely fashion
Assist in the on-boarding process
Assign and assist employees with online education
Coordinate Volunteer Services Orientation and process Volunteer Services applicants
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of Human Resources
Strong oral and written communication skills
Competent use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Solid organizational, time and project management skills
Ability to multitask
Notes:
This is an unpaid internship.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30a-4:30p
Dates: start mid/late August through early-December
